Our Tahitian dance and drum summer season opening took place on a sunny April Monday by Lake Balaton. At a 160-person company event, we received the honorable task of teaching drumming and dancing to the audience. We are thankful for the invitation, we had a great time and we were amazed by the skills of the participants! We started the preparations with the drummers and the dancers in two separate halls. When they were ready, the two groups joined together in a performance to share their This story started in 2014 in Tahiti, when the Pupu Tuhaa Pae dance team surprised us with our complete costumes we used at the Heiva performance. The female grand costume even won the golden prize among the costumes at the festival. It is a handmade/handwoven phloem masterpiece with real feathers and shells made on the Australian islands.
